Supported by UN Women Bangladesh, the learning programme is being implemented jointly by inSights and Humanitarian Advisory Group (HAG) – Australia started in August 2022 and ended in December 2022.
A competitive process was conducted to select 17 young Bangladeshi professionals who were interested in expanding their careers in gender-responsive disaster risk management (DRM) and climate change adaptation (CCA), where more than half of the participants are female. Learning methods include self-directed learning, face-to-face workshops, coaching and mentoring, group work and practical coursework. The format encourages and facilitates each participant’s investment in applied and reflective learning, as part of a coherent and high-quality capacity development programme which, in turn, is actively supported by their organisation and line manager.
