Sheepa Hafiza is an accomplished development practitioner and social analyst with over 35 years of experience in promoting equality and human rights. She has served as the former Executive Director of Ain O Salish Kendra, a leading human rights organization in Bangladesh, and earlier worked at different capacuty and time as the Director of Gender Justice and Diversity, Human Resources, Advocacy of Social communication, Training Learning Division, Safe and dignified Migration at BRAC, one of the world's largest development organizations. Worked in CARE Bangladesh as Cordinator of Human Resources and Gender from 2001-2003. Throughout her career, Sheepa has been a dedicated advocate for gender justice, inclusion, and extreme poverty reduction. She has spearheaded efforts to promote safe and rights-based labor migration, young people's engagement, and safeguarding expertise on gender equality and empowerment. Her expertise in change management within large organizations has helped transform policies and practices to ensure gender equity and inclusion. Sheepa's creativity and innovation in organizational transformation, program development, and policy advocacy have resulted in sustainable impacts in the field. Her work on addressing issues such as extreme poverty, malaria and tuberculosis, child marriage, gender-based violence, and sexual harassment in public places has been recognized through numerous awards and accolades. In 2020, Sheepa was honored with the Women of Inspiration Award by JCI Bangladesh, and in 2019 she received the Swiss Day Award for the Human Rights Forum Bangladesh from the Embassy of Switzerland. Other notable awards include the Best Practice Award for Gender Norm Change Program from UNITE, UNFPA and the Ministry of Women and Children Affairs in 2011, and the World Award for Communication for Sustainable Social Change from the University of Massachusetts in 2010, and many more. Sheepa's passion for promoting human rights and equality has made her a sought-after speaker and thought leader. She has presented at numerous national and international forums, including the United Nations, on issues related to gender justice, social inclusion, and poverty reduction. Her leadership and expertise have been instrumental in promoting sustainable and accountable social justice .
